Artist Statement

I am a Brooklyn-born artist, teacher, juror and demonstrator. My enthusiasm and dedication for watercolor was influenced by many notable teachers, near and far, such as Frank Webb, Betty Lou Schlemm, and Charles Reid. I have also studied in workshops at The New School, Douglaston Art League, and New York Students League.

My teaching career spans over 30 years, teaching group classes at Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Kingsborough Community College Adult Education, and U.F.T. Retirees art programs, in both watercolors and acrylics.

I work in all mediums and every subject matter, including figures and landscapes. My works include contour drawings as well. Many years have been spent in the outdoors, painting on site in places such as in Rockport, MA and others further north.

Collectors from England, Seoul, Puerto Rico, Thailand, and United States have purchased my watercolor paintings.
