Artist Statement
My acquaintance with watercolors began in childhood. I still have my school sketchbook. Then art school, then architecture school, and over 30 years of work as an interior designer. And so I returned to my favorite pastime again.
Why watercolor?
Watercolor is not just a painting technique, but a magical world where bright colors dance on paper, dissolving in water and enlivening the colorless surface. Watercolor is capricious and unpredictable, like a child, but is ready to submit to the skillful touch of the brush. Watercolor cannot be corrected. It seems to reflect the real state of the soul with its fragility, forcing you to listen to what is happening inside and outside it.
