The objectives of the Brooklyn Watercolor Society are to further the creative efforts of its members, to spread knowledge and cultivate interest in the transparent watercolor medium.

Artist Statement
With 55 years of professional experience, Ms. Hoyt is an acclaimed and passionate watercolor painter and educator who has been serving as an art teacher at El Art Studio in Brooklyn, NY, since 1984. Prior to this prominent role, she was an art teacher at Studio Dragonette and Kingsway Academy between 1963 and 1984. A frequent art demonstrator, lecturer and teacher in the field, she also previously held the role of art juror and art consultant in Brooklyn and New York City, and she spends her spare time volunteering as the director of the Salt Marsh Nature Center.
