The objectives of the Brooklyn Watercolor Society are to further the creative efforts of its members, to spread knowledge and cultivate interest in the transparent watercolor medium.

Artist Statement
The miracle of Nature inspires me to paint for my own pleasure. I am particularly interested in flora–each flower a miracle and no matter how large or small, a joy to behold. Their structures, forms, textures and colors sing and dance gracefully before me.
I use watercolor to capture their essence due to its transparency and luminosity coupled with the serendipitous effects which can only be achieved with that particular medium. I hope my art not only gives the viewer pause to admire Nature’s creativity, but also draws the viewer into the paintings; perhaps to admire, perhaps to remember but mostly to enjoy.
